Orthopaedic surgeon with a passion for primary as well as revision joint replacement surgery, musculoskeletal oncology, in addition to complex and neglected musculoskeletal trauma with special focus on geriatric orthopaedic care.
After more than 2 decades of speciality experience (clinical, academic as well as administrative) in the premier hospitals of Indian Army, I moved from public to private practice role as Director- Joint replacement surgery at Medanta Hospital, Lucknow.
After a brief tenure as Director- Trauma and Professor- Orthopaedics at Aster Ramesh Hospital- a JCI and NABH accredited hospital, I have now returned to Lucknow at ApolloMedics Hospital, Lucknow to continue my professional journey of pursuing clinical and academic excellence in a cost-effective manner.
My research interests include operative techniques as well as rehabilitation and PROMS for hip and knee arthroplasty and Traumatology. These interests are based on my having performed more than 3500 joint replacement surgeries (including hip, knee, shoulder and elbow replacement surgeries) besides more than 10,000 major orthopaedic surgeries. My multiple research publications have been cited more than a thousand times and are published in globally leading journals like Lancet and JAMA.
