Dr. Dhiraj Sonawane is the Head Of Orthopaedic & Spine Unit at GT hospital, Mumbai. He has served as a Post Graduate Teacher in Medical council of India and MUHS and a University Guide in Spine Fellowship – MUHS. He joined Maharashtra institution of medical education and research, Pune for MBBS in August 2005. Later in May 2010 he enrolled himself for MS (Orth) at Grant Medical college, & Sir JJ group of government Hospitals, Mumbai. He was an AO Spine Fellow in 2016 at Ganga Hospital, India and a Clinical Spine Fellow 17 at National University Hospital, Singapore in year 2016. He subsequently served his Fellowship in Scoliosis & Cervical Spine Surgery at Columbia University Medical Centre & New York Presbyterian Spine Hospital, USA in year 2018.
Some of his great research interests are Peadiatric Spine, Cervical spine, Spine Deformity, Atlantoaxial instability, Degenerative spine, Peadiatric Spine, Tuberculous Spine and other infection, minimal invasive spine, Spinal Biomechanics, Spine Fusion, Disc replacement. His Spine & Orthopaedic Publications has been selected in the National & International Journals.
