She is also a Medical Advisor, Consultant Pediatrician & Pediatric HIV Specialist in various charitable hospitals & NGOs; dedicated to caring for orphans & vulnerable children in & around Mumbai. An adventure sports enthusiast, she has participated in several extreme adventure sports like skydiving, white water river rafting, parasailing, gliding, abseiling, Himalayan car rally, etc. She was awarded the “Best Expeditioner Award” by the Government of India for exhibiting outstanding courage and indomitable spirit during the 6 month period as Expedition Medical Officer for the Indian Scientific Expedition to Antarctica, the most hostile environment on earth, with freezing average temperatures of - 20 - 30 degrees and continuous daylight with no night skies 24 x 7 for the entire 6 months period.
