Dr Prashant Meshram

Dr Prashant Meshram is a shoulder and knee surgeon trained at Johns Hopkins University, USA and Seoul National University, South Korea. He is now practicing at Bhabha Hospital, Bandra, Mumbai, now. After his medical school from JJ hospital, Mumbai.

Dr Prashant did his orthopedic residency (masters) from the KEM Hospital, Mumbai. He also holds diploma in national board/DNB orthopedics. Subsequently, he worked as a junior consultant at Sion Hospital, Mumbai for an year which involved teaching residents and medical students. This enriching ground level experience of working at 3 biggest hospitals in India not only helped him build up his clinical skills but also networking with mentors amd peers in India.

 

He traveled to South Korea to learn from the knee and shoulder specialist at Seoul National University which is the biggest university in Korea. He trained under Professor Dr Joo Han Oh there for a period of 3 months. Noticing his competency and efficiency, he was offered a one year fully funded fellowship by Professor Dr Tae Kyun Kim at TK hospital which is a highest volume of surgical center in South Korea for knee replacement. Gaining trust from his mentors at TK hospital, he handled a variety of responsibilities ranging from surgery, research, fellowship management as well as hospital administration. By the end of his successful fellowship of about 2 years in South Korea, he was even offered a full time job to work in South Korea but he chose to study further and deepen his knowledge. Subsequently, Dr Prashant was chosen for the prestigious advanced shoulder surgery research fellowship at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, USA which was fully funded by the J.W. Marriott Research Foundation. He has, so far, authored over 25 scientific articles and book chapters in international indexed peer reviewed journals and books, respectively. He has delivered and co authored over 50 podium and poster presentations in International meetings accross the World. Dr Prashant is a scientific reviewer for top orthopedic journals like American Journal of Sports Medicine, Clinical Orthopedics and Related Research, and Orthopedic Journal of Sports Medicine. He has been awarded top scientific article reviewer for 2020 for the prestigious journal Clinical Orthopedics and Related Research.

Dr Prashant has also delivered key note speech in multiple social events in South Korea related to Spirituality and Old age. Currently, Dr Prashant is an Assistant Professor at the biggest teritary care center in west India, the KEM Hospital, Mumbai. He is practicing Shoulder and Knee surgery at Bhabha Hospital, Bandra, Mumbai. He likes to meditate, travel, and watch movies in free time.
